UNICEF Executive Board President Omar Hilale on Working Visit to Denmark
Morocco’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Omar Hiale, is on a working visit to Copenhagen, in his capacity as President of the Executive Board of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
Hilale’s mission will be to assess the effectiveness of the UNICEF Supply Division Warehouse located in the Danish capital and ensure that its activities meet the needs and priorities of children and their families.
On this occasion, Hilale held meetings with several officials, including with the Director of the Supply Division, Etleva Kadilli.
These meetings allowed Hilale to be informed about the various activities of the UNICEF Supply Division.
On this occasion, the Moroccan diplomat paid tribute to the staff working at the UNICEF Supply Division in Copenhagen and commended their dedication and commitment to children around the world.
The UNICEF Executive Board President will present the final report of this visit at the next session of the UNICEF, to be held next September at the UN headquarters in New York.
The UNICEF Supply Division Warehouse covers over 20,000 square metres – the equivalent of three football pitches – and is equipped with the latest technology.
The Copenhagen warehouse stocks components for 38 different kits, which are often deployed in emergency situations. Each kit contains a complete set of supplies and instructions for use, so that they can be distributed to remote schools, health posts or camps and be used immediately.
